"I'm a third year student from a suburb of Los Angeles majoring in nutritional biochemistry premed. My goal for FRN is to see us successfully recovering food from more locations and on campus events so we can donate nutritious meals to a greater number of people in the greater Cleveland area."

"I'm a third year student from NJ majoring in nutritional biochemistry while following the premed track. My vision for FRN is making it a much more integral part of CWRU—I want this university to be well respected for being conscious about its excess and recovered food. I want CWRU to be known for tirelessly giving back to the Cleveland community."

"I’m a 2nd year nutritional biochemistry premed from Gurnee, IL. I believe that no one should fall asleep hungry, and that it’s possible to end hunger in America. Especially with all of the resources we have access to, I think we can work together to make sure food waste isn't a problem. In the future, I see our chapter bringing all of Cleveland together to bring out the best of this city."

"I am a junior Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism pre-med student. As a native Clevelander who grew up with food assistance programs, I realize that there are a lot of families in the community who struggle with obtaining nutritious meals. I think that it’s important for us as college students to realize how fortunate we are to have a meal plan and to continuously have a surplus of food available. Instead of throwing away this surplus, I️ believe that we can use it to alleviate hunger. I love how much growth there has been with FRN, and in the future I️ hope that we are more integrated with the Greater Cleveland community. I️ see us building stronger partnerships with other local organizations similar to ours and alleviating hunger together."

"I am a 4th year student majoring in Nutritional Biochemistry and Metabolism and getting a minor in religious studies. I have been involved with Food Recovery Network since my freshman year, and it has been the most meaningful part of my college experience. FRN enabled me to fulfill my role as a student in Cleveland, and I love being able to connect with my local community. On rare occasions when I am not studying at Rising Star, I love to cook, go running, and watch The Office on Netflix. My vision for the future of FRN is to have it grow tremendously and become an integral part of CWRU. I want the entire student body to be involved in food recovery; just 15 minutes of your time makes a big difference for our hungry Cleveland neighbors."

"I am a 4th year Chemical Engineering student. I was humbly introduced to the Food Recovery Network by a dear upper classman friend (shout out to former president and founder Shadi!) and I’m grateful every day for it <3. As I finish off my final year at Case, I look back at the work that this organization has done and I want to thank everyone who has helped fight this problem and at the same time to appreciate the connections I’ve made with people I wouldn’t have necessarily connected with if it wasn’t for FRN. I’m excited to see how FRN will expand and thrive after I leave and am hopeful of what is yet to come!"
